I’m Nathan Maves. I live in Denver Colorado, where I have spent my entire life building software and loving the outdoors.
I’ve loved technology for as long as I can remember, and wrote my first program in Basic when I was around 10 years old, on my fathers Tandy computer (from Radio Shack).
The only thing I loved more than computers as a kid was the outdoors. I started back backing the Rocky Mountains when I could carry my own pack. I have skied and snowboarded every winter since I was 8 years old. I have also had a love for the water weather it be lakes, rivers or oceans. I have rafted the Grand Canyon and scuba dove all over the world.
I also have a deep belief in public libraries. Growing up my family spent a lot of time at our local library, and I was always amazed at the wealth of knowledge and resources available to me for free. Libraries have played a huge role in my life, and I try to support them whenever I can. I spent 14 years working for a company that built software for libraries, Hoopla.
Today, I spend most of my time trying to keep up in the fast pace of technology building application that try to help make the world a better place.
